Paint-Your-Pet Night at Gusto’s

Join Kenzie Collins of Morning Glory Artistry for an evening of guided painting & leave with your very own monochromatic pet portrait!

*** The DEADLINE for registering & submitting your photos is Thursday July18th. ***

During this special 2.5 hour event, Kenzie will paint alongside attendees, while simultaneously explaining each step of the creative process. Painters will receive a pre-drawn sketch of their pet portrait on an 11”x14” canvas upon arrival, so there’s no need to stress about your drawing skills!

All attendees must submit a clear, well-lit “headshot” of their beloved pet once they’ve registered for the event. Upper body reference photos are most manageable given the 2.5 hour timeframe. Only one pet per canvas. It’s okay if your pet isn’t looking directly at the camera when you take your snapshot. As long as it’s a good photo of your pet’s upper body, we can work with some quirks! You may be wondering, what does monochromatic mean? The term monochromatic means “a color scheme that is based on a single color, or hue. The other colors within the color scheme are all light and dark variations of a single color or hue.” In other words, your color palette for the evening will be based on one color of your choice (examples: blue, pink, teal), and will consist of light & dark variations of that single color. The pet portraits we create will be vibrant, colorful & unique!

All attendees must choose one (1) of the colors listed below as the base for their color palette. Kenzie will curate an individual color palette for each painter based on their color choice, and the palette will contain multiple dark & light variations of the base color. Please choose one (1) color & include your choice when you submit your photo:

• Red
• Orange
• Green
• Teal
• Blue
• Purple
• Pink/Magenta

All painting supplies are included, and as mentioned above, you’ll receive a canvas with a pre-drawn sketch of your pet. You’ll also receive a black & white hard copy of your reference photo.

Food & beverages are sold separately. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to order food and beverages. No outside food or alcohol permitted.

This event is scheduled to be held outdoors on the patio, weather permitting. If the weather isn’t cooperative, we’ll move indoors for the evening.
